from the relation | … the project, dimensioned as indicated in the PSC, recognizes the existing dense green scrubs, remainings of the old nurseries, as an integral part of the new settlement system, both from the point of view of the green equipment, and from that of the spatial articulation. The conservation of this green heritage, together with the Savena park, is an important element of visual, identitary and social coherence (for its maintenance could involve the residents as much as third sector operators ). The succession, both regular and varied, of these green scrubs also constitutes a highly structured organization (a sort of barcode succession, to the geometry of which is added the difference of species, colors and shapes), which can be integrated by the building system using the same rules. A structure capable to give a spatial meaning to the intervention regardless of its completeness, and to dynamically compare itself with the different times and layouts of its implementation, whether it is slowed down by a minor economical pressure or, viceversa, is hit by a request that increases the expected densities. Thus, the evolution of the built system follows the traces of the agricultural organization and is oriented perpendicularly to the Via Emilia and the other radial streets. The result is a succession of fronts facing south-east, to which is added a constant possibility of spatial and tipological change, able to respond to local opportunities, graduating the height and thickness of the buildings, and to deal with the dynamics of the market demand, offering a really wide range of possible solutions. The dialogue between the settling organization and the variability of the built system is further accelerated by the inclusive philosophy of the project, which provides the distribution, within each area, of a share of social housing.
