from the relation | … As a big void dug into the slope of mount Titano, the two mines occupy a barycentric position inside a system of resources and relations which will help the strenghtening and renovation of the tourism sector, allowing the inhabitants to discover  a neglected territory. The site, dominated by the mines striking rock walls and opened as a natural terrace on the Valmarecchia outlook,  is an important junction between the tourist San Marino of the old town, and the natural one of the broad-leaved woods clung to the rock. A multi storey car park, a wellness center, an arena for local events, a tennis court and several kiosks compose the new functional program. A new square, wholly covered in San Marino stone, obtained from the excavations, is the mediator between the program and the landscape. With its morphologic surface it defines the position of the different activities and allows the storage of the surface water.
